Helen’s Asian Kitchen non-stick Silicone Sushi Mat (makisu) requires no plastic wrap to properly form and shape delicious hand roll sushi (makizushi). Its non-stick, non-permeable surface won’t stick to, or tear, delicate seaweed (nori sheets). It releases sushi rolls effortlessly and is easier to clean than bamboo mats. Simply place -sheet of nori, shiny side down on the mat. Add -cup sushi rice, leaving 1-inch uncovered. Add fillings to the center and roll mat toward uncovered edge. Gently squeeze to seal the roll, remove mat, and slice roll into 6 equal pieces. It is compact for easy storage, and dishwasher safe for easy cleanup.
