Brining is a marinating process that results in an especially juicy and flavorful turkey. Brining draws out the turkey’s juices, which are then reabsorbed, producing succulent, tender meat and gloriously crisp skin. Our organic turkey brine features sea salt, orange peel, and complimentary spices like cinnamon, ginger and allspice, yielding subtle flavor and aroma that enhances but doesn’t interfere with the flavor of your turkey. Makes excellent-tasting gravy from the pan drippings, too.
DIRECTIONS: Empty contents of bag into 4½ quarts water, stirring until dissolved. Remove giblets from turkey. Place up to 27-lb. turkey in a large, deep container. Add brine mix. Make sure turkey is completely covered; add water if needed. Brine overnight, below 40° F (you can remove a shelf from your refrigerator to make space, if needed). When ready to roast, remove turkey from brine and rinse with cool water; cook as directed.
